Having a positive attitude does not mean being unrealistically optimistic, or pretending everything is good, or being in denial. Rather, it’s the realization that while you can’t change reality, you can adjust your attitude toward it. You can focus on the things you can control. You can reframe the situation for a more positive outlook. To practice in class today, you can control your breath, your effort, your pace, and your attitude.
