Theme Commentary
Yoga has been analyzing attention, thought, and emotion for over two thousand years. The discipline teaches that focus becomes possible when you choose where your attention goes and gently bring it back when it wanders. In yoga, this means tuning into the rhythmic flow of moving asanas, or connecting with your breath to evade distractions when you are holding a pose steady. While silencing the mental chatter of our mind is not the goal, you can gently direct your mind in a disciplined and concentrated direction.
Mantras
Attention goes where I deliberately place it.
Focus is a skill I strengthen with each breath.
