Theme Commentary
Self-worth is the recognition that your existence has inherent value, rather than something you earn. However, true self-worth distinguishes between being and becoming. It frees you from the anxiety of having to earn your humanity, while simultaneously calling you toward the fullest expression of it. We often hear that our worth comes simply from existing, and while that’s true, yoga also emphasizes that life expects something of us in return. Our inherent value is not an excuse to stop growing, avoid effort, or stay stuck in old patterns. This difference is crucial because authentic self-value isn’t an excuse to stop moving forward; it’s what makes forward motion meaningful.
Mantras
I am enough, just as I am.
Because I know I am enough, I can choose how to grow.
My worth is not defined by others’ opinions.
